Scholarship: Arthur and Judith Benoit Memorial Scholarship
Arthur H. and Judith Benoit were enthusiastic supporters of the University, and Mr. Benoit served as a University of Maine trustee from 1957 to 1971. Their family and friends established this scholarship in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the University and community.

The scholarship is awarded annually to a student who demonstrates the qualities of leadership, enthusiasm, and a willingness to give of self in service to the University and/or community. Continuing USM degree candidate carrying at least 6 credit hours for the semester that the award is credited to their account. First semester freshmen and first semester transfer students are not eligible, because they will not yet have a GPA from USM. Graduating seniors are not eligible for monetary awards (unless continuing in a USM graduate program) but ARE encouraged to apply for Outstanding Senior and Outstanding Service awards.
