* Grade Point Average: You must have at least a 2.50 overall grade point average verified by the Office of the Registrar at the time of application. Many scholarships require a 3.00 or better GPA. Make sure to read the criteria for the individual scholarship carefully. First semester freshmen and first semester transfer students are not eligible, because they will not yet have a GPA from USM.
* Class Status: You must be a continuing USM degree candidate carrying at least 6 credits during the semester(s) in which the award is credited to your account. Graduating seniors are not eligible for monetary awards (unless continuing in a USM graduate program).
* Serious or repeated violations of the Student Conduct Code are grounds for withdrawal of your scholarship. This decision is made by the USM Chief Student Affairs Officer on the recommendation of the USM Scholarship Coordinator.
