Maine DHHS Distance Education Initiatives

Abstract

This Distance Education Agreement promotes greater access and more cost effective delivery for selected initiatives in which traditional classroom training does not reach enought staff, is impractical given the Department's geographic reach, or is unsustainable at the current cost structure. Objectives include further developing a cross-developmental distance education team to prioritize distance education projects based on potential for enhancing effectiveness and efficiency; implementing up to three distance education initiatives using best practice in the field; and establishing evaluation criteria for the projects.
